CROSTINI WITH HOME-MADE CHEVRE
This is one of the things I made using the fresh Chevre I made this week. Toast a nice chewy bread in the broiler until lightly brown (both sides). Remove from oven, and spread with Chevre. Drizzle with honey, and top with chopped toasted walnuts and a little chopped fresh rosmary. A great flavor combination.
That looks yummy!
How does the taste of the homemade chevre compare with what you buy at the store?
Nancy-I thought the homemade chevre tastes very similar to the store bought. Very tangy. Even though I drained mine for a couple of days, it was softer than what I buy commercially, and less “chalky”. I thought it was great.
