The theme for this week’s PhotoHunt is “yellow”. As I looked through photos, I wondered what to show-a fish with a yellow eye, or a pretty yellow building in Italy? So I decided to have the contrast, and show both.

This photo is of a type rockfish that we call “yelloweye”. It’s a little hard to see in this photo, but its eye is yellow.

This photo is of a yellow building that we saw in a piazza just off of Strada Nova in Venice.

PHOTOHUNT – “YELLOW” — 12 Comments

  1. Love this contrast! I can see the yellow eye and also a bit of yellow on the belly. And yellow pants too! And that is such a nice building in Venice.
Hope springtime comes your way before too long.

  2. That is an impressive fish. I can see the eye. And I like the contrast with the lovely Venetian building. Nice choices.

  3. Good take on the yellows. I saw the striking yellow fisherman pants too. 🙂

  4. I am always amazed at your fish photos. Very cool fish! Is that a bigger than normal size yelloweye fish? It looks like a pretty big fish. Cool yellow building in Venice. Interesting how the windows are all so different. I wonder if it was built in stages.

  5. Hi Cindy, very cool photos for this week’s theme. I love both your photos. And that is one fine catch! I can also see the yellow eyes on that fish. That’s a wonderful second photo too. I love the bright colors of the buildings in Venice.
    Great choices!
